    Sounds good to me. I would always prefer a property that didn’t need them, but this sounds like a good way to solve a drainage problem.

    you may scare some buyers but most will not care. I would say it adds value because they have peace of mind that no water is coming in.

    No but the lack of french drains and/or sump pumps might put a serious damper on the value of the home!! Nobody wants water in the basement, what you have is an added benefit to a homebuyer, be proud of it and advertise the fact!!!

    The answer to this question depends largely on the property in question. Generally, if the property is properly drained by the system in place, and there have been no recent problems, it won’t affect the price. On the other hand, if the property has drainage problems and the system is not adequately handling the water, then you may have to lower the price. Either way, if drainage was or is a problem, most states will require you to disclose it to a potential buyer.
